ABOUT
KATSEYE is a 6-member global girl group that was formed on November 17, 2023 at the finale of the survival show Dream Academy. After competing along 20 other contestants, the final six were chosen, each hailing from a different part of the globe: Sophia (Filipina), Lara, (Tamil-Indian American) Daniela (Cuban-Venezuelan American), Megan (Chinese-Singaporean American), Yoonchae (Korean) and Manon (Swiss-Italian-Ghanaian). They made their official debut on June 28, 2024. The group is under the partnership Hybe UMG x Geffen. While the group is highly inspired by KPOP, utilizing the KPOP methodology in training and perfomances, KATSEYE is NOT a KPOP group.
KATSEYE released their first EP SIS: Soft Is Strong on August 16, 2024, which included the singles "Debut" and "Touch". Despite just recently debuting, KATSEYE has already made a name for themselves with their debut reaching the Billboard 200 and No. 32 on the US Pop Airplay Chart.
The group is not only known for their hard work, talent and diversity, but their authenticity as well; often being vocal and open about their struggles in adjusting to the popstar lifestyle, sharing personal moments with their fans and participating in fun TikTok challenges.
The fandom name "EYEKONS" was announced on April 11, 2024. The name was chosen in collaborative effort with KATSEYE and the fans. Fun fact: the 'K" in EYEKONS is meant to match the "K" of KATSEYE which was suggested by Lara!

Did you know that Sophia means wisdom? It's a name fitting for the official leader of Katseye! Raised in Manila, Philippines by a musical theater actress/singer and former dancer turned executive chef, Sophia grew to love the arts, especially theater and music. Singing since three years old, she would develop a powerful voice and follow her mother's footsteps to leave home and embark on her music career.
Sophia takes her role as the leader with the upmost care, acting as the group's go to comfort person with respect, compassion and lots of butterscotch blondies. Her mature nature doesn't stop her alluring and silly personality from shining however, as she always manages to keep everyone on their toes (like will we ever find out what her lip gloss is??).

Whether educating her members about crystals, helping Eyekons with their love lives or honestly speaking about the struggles of early stardom, Lara is nothing but authentic. Being Tamil Indian, but born and raised across the United States, Lara has committed to being a representative for young South Asians across the globe and fully embracing her culture.

When thinking of the phrase, “born to dance”, Daniela and her hips that don't lie follow the thought. Raised by Venezuelan and Cuban-Italian ballroom dancers for parents, Daniela picked up their skills at an early age, showcasing her talent in Afro-Cuban, cha-cha, salsa and much more on various dancing shows and competitions.
Daniela is known as the "Selfie Queen" by her members, but the love she has for herself is something she had to grow into. Since joining Katseye, Daniela has learned to embrace her curly hair rather than trying to conform to other's expectations, and she hopes that through the group's music she can convey this message of self-acceptance to her fans.

This Maknae is not afraid to eat first! From a young age, Yoonchae knew she wanted to be a KPop star, beginning her journey early on as a trainee for CJ E&M at just 13 years old. Despite her initial nervousness in coming to America, Yoonchae has found she wouldn't have it any other way and has even picked up English with a swiftness (with the help of her members of course).
Being the youngest, Yoonchae acts a bit like the glue of the group, where all of her "unnies" know to protect her. However that doesn't stop her from sassing her sisters and making them always expect the unexpected from her. In fact, it's something all her fans must expect as Yoonchae, seemingly sweet and innocent, has the ability to turn on a fierceness that even surprises her at times.

"Acquired, awkward and quirky" is a description straight from the cutie's mouth. Even with her more introverted personality, Megan has always known she was meant to be a performer. With her mother's help, she would start at just 4 years old, setting a foundation in dance, singing, modelling and acting! Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Megan knew she wanted a change from the laid-back nature of her home, and she's proven that, even through hardship she can keep up with the fast pace of stardom.
At first glance, you'd never guess that "dance machine", "aegyo queen" and general goofball that is Megan is actually very shy. An industry veteran, she's become an advocate for mental health and not letting rejection halt your dreams. Now in Katseye, Megan shows off her dynamic nature, with enchanting performances on stage and whisker dimpled playfulness off stage.

"She's incredibly beautiful, but she has to do something goofy every five seconds or she'll die," is basically Manon in a nutshell. Born and raised in Switzerland, Manon was (and still is) an avid artist, often performing in front of family, writing songs and modeling, practicing for a music career she believed was just a distant dream. However, thanks to her stunning beauty and infectious personality, she would be scouted for Dream Academy, where her dreams became reality (despite her initially thinking it was a scam).
When she's not being the "Tom Holland" of the group, she acts as her members' hype woman, personal comedienne, and big sister. Being half Ghanaian, Manon finds great importance in representing young black women around the world and inspiring others to chase their dreams with confidence.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look through the site!This page was created after a sudden bout of inspiration and the realization that there had yet to be a comprehensive site for KATSEYE content. While the group is still in its early stages, I figured it would be best to start this sooner rather than later. This page will hopefully serve as a way to help new Eyekons learn more about KATSEYE and give veteran Eyekons convenient access to released content. It’s been so much fun being a part of the Eyekon community and finding a shared interest in KATSEYE. This site took many weeks to complete, so if you find it at all helpful please be sure to share it! I hope we can all continue to support KATSEYE on their journey to becoming global pop stars, as well as celebrate all of the diversity and talent in both the members and fellow Eyekons!

At the top of the page, there are 7 sections, as well as the FAQ page (question mark) and appreciation page (heart). Click on any of the sections to move through the site. If on desktop, all links will be highlighted in purple. If on mobile, most links will be underlined or have an icon.
KATZFLIX Navigation
KATFLIX is great for New Eyekons looking to catch up on past content and Eyekons looking for past content to reference as time passes and certain things get buried.Navigating KATZFLIX:
KATZFLIX can be accessed through Eyekon's Archive in the videos section and as its own site. At the top of the page, there are three sections: Home, Originals and Shows, that can be used to browse the site. All posters are clickable, and will lead to playlists or videos of Katseye content. Some content has been removed from the internet, but can be found in the linked G-Drives (indicated by the Google Drive Icon).Clicking on the profile photo will lead you back to the KATFLIX opening page and allow you to go to Eyekon's Archive with the home button
Why was this site made? Someone in the Katseye Discord stated that a fan site should be made for Katseye and referenced FimFlix as an example. After perusing the site, as well as some other Carrd sites, I figured I'd give it a try for Katseye. KATFLIX is directly inspired by FimFlix with just a couple changes, while Eyekon's Archive is a combination of several inspiration sources and my own ideas for what the fan site should look like.
